Rawon is the name of a beef dish, also called black beef. It is a spicy dish with 10 ingredients. One of those ingredients is the kloewekpit. The kloeweknut has the size and shape of a rugby ball, containing kernels that undergo a fermentation process. The kernel is very dark in color and the fermentation process causes the kernels to turn black. Rawon is certainly known to the old generations of Indo-Dutch people who pass on this knowledge of dishes to new generations.
