Purutblad Dried - 28 grams
Purut leaves are glossy leaves of the citrus fruit. They shine and give an aromatic citrus scent and taste to sauces, soups, curries and all kinds of (stew) dishes and soup with meat, chicken or vegetables. But also in rice dishes and especially in the nasi kuning (yellow rice) the taste of citrus should not be missing. You can use the djeroek purut leaves for a cold soy sauce sambal sauce. Crush the leaves and stir them into the sauce for a fresh lime flavour.
Compared to, for example, pandan leaves, these leaves are edible. Usually the leaves are removed from the dishes as soon as the taste and smell have been released, but if you cut them finely you can eat them.
Can also be used in coconut djeroek cookies.
The aroma of the leaves can also be used very well in cocktails and for desserts.
